Reverend Eric F. Ricks is the Pastor and founder of Faith Deliverance Worship Center formely known as Deliverance Evangelistic Church of Burlington County located in Burlington, New Jersey. He is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has been happily married to his beautiful wife Vernell since 1962. In 1965, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. After following the direction of the Lord to pastor, he moved to New Jersey in 1975.

In 1980, he received his Certificate in Ministry degree from the Center for Urban Theological Studies (CUTS), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he served as a member of the executive board for five years. He was chairman of the Sponsoring Association at CUTS for one year, and was one of the instructors for over ten years. Rev. Ricks has traveled extensively in this country and has gone to Haiti Jamaica and Africa preaching and teaching workshops and seminars.

As Pastor, his role to the church is: (1) preaching and teaching God's word, (2) sharing God's vision and burden to the church, (3) setting the direction for the membership, church and ministry, (4) modeling Christ to the membership, (5) training leadership for Christian service and (6) to carry out discipline.

His spiritual emphasis is found in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." His personal goal is to fulfill Acts 6:4, "But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and the ministering of the word."
